Grand Rapids - Hannah Johnson Maher Hetteen, 90, of Grand Rapids, danced into Heaven on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, after a lengthy illness at Diamond Willow Assisted Living, Grand Rapids.
Visitation will be at 10:30 am, Saturday, May 5th, in Grace Bible Chapel, 2452 Country Road 76, Grand Rapids, followed by the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Private family interment will be held at the Harris Cemetery at a later date.
Born in Roseau on December 15, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Walfred Johnson and Signe Sunsten Johnson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Norbert Maher; her second husband, Edgar Hetteen; four sisters and one brother; a step-daughter, Nancy Triviski; and a step-son, Ronald Hetteen.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann (Jeffrey) Miels, Grand Rapids, and Jheri (Georgina Cantoni) McMillan, Duluth; step-daughter Patricia Glagavs, Maplewood, Minn.; daughter-in-law Nila Hetteen, Grand Rapids; three brothers, David Johnson, Roseau, Robert Johnson, Thief River Falls, Rueben Johnson, Twin Cities; numerous cousins, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
