Francis Johnny Weber was born on April 13, 1931 in Fosston, to parents Andrew and Maggie (Agnes) Weber.  He was baptized and confirmed at St. Charles Boromeo and attended school in Trail and Gonvick, Minnesota. At a young age, he helped on the Weber family farm before being drafted into the United States Army in 1950.  After receiving his honorable discharge, he returned to the area and began work on the Soo Line Railroad.
Francis was united in marriage to Marian Pladsen on June 3, 1957 in Trail. After their marriage, he continued his work on the railroad. In 1963 he and Marian purchased the Schneider farm and began farming. He also worked for over 25 years for Land O’ Lakes in Fosston hauling milk until his retirement in 1992. He continued farming with Roger Schmidt after his retirement.  Francis was a very hard working man and was well-known for his thick accent, his sense of humor, and his gift to gab.  Francis and Marian also were dedicated foster care providers for 10 years.

He enjoyed old time music, John Deere tractors, cutting grass, woodworking and four wheeling. He always enjoyed when his family and friends came to visit.  He took pride in the upkeep of St. Charles Cemetery, where he will now rest in peace.
