Congratulations to the TRF PeeWee A team. Went to watch them at the
state tourney and they all played extremely well. TRF should be very
proud of them - the represented you very well. A loss is very
disappointing but the fact that they had a chance to play is awesome
and they did so very well. I was proud to be able to say I knew them

the recent deaths in Thief River and noticed that you have all the

God bless the The Thief River Falls Times for this site. I want to
thank Dilene for all the information regarding the Oen family
information. I hope not to start another GOLD RUSH as I recieved
allot of great information as of late regarding my Oen Family quest.
Grandfather Ramus Oen would rather I start a RUSH to GOD. RAMUS A
RICH MAN BUT MORE SO GODS MAN. Building a family tree is exciting and
leads to not only understanding ones family, BUT DOES lead to meeting
wonderfull new people. OF Course a family tree only seems to mean
something to all of us as we grow older. I have only met one person
from TRF and he was a man who was checking power poles in BEND
OREGON. We met in the Bend RV PARK. I do hope HE finds time to read

I just received a wonderfull e-mail from Shaun Muzzy daughter of Ray
and Ruth Oen. Shaun and Steve have been so busy raising their
wonderfull family and untill 1998 enjoying Grandpa Ray and Grandma
they did not have time to gather family tree information. The
terrible loss of Ray Oen in 1998 and Ruth going into the Hospital if
has been a loss to the Muzzy family. Now Shaun has a contract of
someone who can help with family tree information regarding the OEN
FAMILY. Ramus Oen came to Thief River Falls in the 1800's help settle
TRF and owned several business's including Oen's Mercantile. He
married Eveline Andersen of who we have no information of Her parents
or back ground.
HOWEVER THANKS AGAIN TO THE PERSON IN THIEF RIVER FALLS WHO CARED TO
PASS ON THE INFORMATION TO SHAUN MUZZY --who could have been a GREAT
NICE if Aunt Clara Olsen adopted me.

I used to visit my grandparents in Thief River Falls, so I looked it
up on the web on a whim. I was thrilled to see find that the paper
has a homepage, and a little surprised to see the name "Ballingrud" a

This is a nice Website for Thief River Falls THE TIMES.
100 years ago My Grandfather Ramus Oen and His family lived here.
Ramus was a business owner and well known. He died and the town
closed down for hours in 1939. I sit today looking at Mrythle Oen's
(my Mother)1924 Prowler when She graduated. 16 years later she died
giving birth to me. I only met one relative Clara Olson and Shelived

My wife and I grew up TRF and until I went into the Air Force in
1963. Since then we have traveled the world, been to war, lived in
exotic locations in Asia and Europe. Now I'm retired from the Air
Force but loved the aircraft so I went to work in Civil Service since
1984 and now I'm in charge of Maintenance Quality Assurance for Test
Aircraft at Edwards AFB. My wife the former Yvonne Olson, is a public
health nurse in a regular combat zone at the north end of the Los
Angeles Basin. She probably is the only person that deals 100% with
Mexican imigrant both leagal and illegal and speaks Spanish with a
Norwiegan accent. We still miss TRF, and ride our Harley Davidson's
(we each have one) home in the summer to visit our brothers and
sisters. We love the wind in our face and can ride year around here
in the desert north of Los Angeles. Happy Holidays from the Sannes

It has been wonderful to visit TRF times web site since it awakes
memories keep in my mind for 2 years. I was helping students with
their Spanish in Lincoln High School almost 2 years ago. It was an
amazing experience not only for the knowledge I acquired but also for
the people I met there.

me feel like a member of their family, thanks Dan, Jane and Heidi.
I´d like to mention too, my friend Sheryl Novacek for being such

about what is happening in TRF. I am very excited that you have okayd
the BMX park. We have one here and it is the best place for Matt to
go for rollerblading, skateboarding and biking. Kids who are
interested in these activities really do watch out for each other and
